Five Floors Up

Welcome to our website, we're known as Five Floors Up , we are a 4 piece rock band that started life in May 2009. Our writing style is often described as rock fused with funk. With influences that include Paramore, Skunk Anansie, Rage Against the machine, Audioslave and much more, and yet we feel our sound remains unique.

Five Floors Up - The Story So Far....

Since the birth of Five Floors Up in May 2009, this exciting 4-piece rock/funk outfit have written an album's worth of original material, completed a successful tour of Scotland, played many venues in London, including a recent sell out at the Fly, and the South East and had worldwide radio airplay.

Five Floors Up have already established their own sound. A number of their influences are Paramore, Skunk Anansie, Rage Against the machine, Audioslave, Biffy Clyro and many more.

Lead singer Jaeger Grace Jones has an amazing voice with range and power rivalled by few other vocalists. We are delighted to welcome her to the band and look forward to her talents taking Five Floors Up to the next level.

Lead guitarist, Andy Ridgeway brings to the group a funky riff-driven edge with technical flair. Andy presents and produces DVDs and books on advanced guitar technique as well as writing, composing and performing music for film and documentaries.

Kevin Macleod, on bass, insists on his fifth string and rightly so as it drives the powerful rhythms of the Five Floors Up sound.

Drummer Neil Stockley, like all the great drummers uses his kit creatively to full effect with hooky syncopated beats, enabling Five Floors Up to get the crowd on their feet at every gig.

Ali Mehmet our promoter/events co-ordinater is the "5th Member" of Five Floors Up. His drive and constant efforts in promoting the band has been invaluable and he has become an integral part of the band. Ali can be contacted on - 07595 547 830
